May FitRewards Challenge

Information:
Farmer’s Walk is carrying a weight over distance which requires grip strength, agility, leg power and upper back strength. It is also a test of mental toughness and proves strength and athleticism over time and distance.


Rules:
· The weights of dumbbells are based on your body weight. Find your weight and use 75% of it and divide it by two and it will tell you the amount of dumbbells you need to have in each hand (round UP to the closest 5lbs). For 56+ age group, use 50% of your bodyweight. (For 180 lbs 45 year old male, he will use 70lbs dumbbells.)


· Stand between a set of dumbbells.
· Place your hands in the middle of the weights to avoid tipping them.
· Brace your core and glutes and drive through the floor to lift the weights.
· Straighten your posture, get tall, look straight ahead.
· Take small, quick steps for time (between designated area) and you must be in motion at all times.
· Time cap is 3 minutes. Tiebreaker is the number of lines touched with your feet during your walk.
· Put the weights down in a controlled manner. For the safety of all involved, do not simply drop the weights on the ground. If in violation of this rule, you would be disqualified.
