August FitRewards Challenge: Row for Time

Row for time: This exercise challenge is designed to test your power and endurance. Using both lower and upper body strength, the row machine is considered by many as one of the best machines to test your overall cardiovascular endurance. 1. All participants will need to perform the challenge in front of an exercise physiologist. 2. All participants are encouraged to take a 5 minute warm up prior to attempting the challenge. 3. Upon attempting the challenge, the row machine will be set to a distance of 500 meters. Instructions for setting up the Concept 2 erg computer: · Turn on the machine by rowing gently · Push Menu button · Select Workout · Standard List · 500/1.00r 4. The subject shall start in the forward position, and begin the challenge when given the command by the exercise physiologist. 5. Row as hard and as fast as you desire to reach 500 meters. Your time will be recorded. 6. Disqualifications: Subject stops/fails to reach 500 meter mark.
