Weightlifting 101

Starts March 7th

  • Saturdays 10:15-11:15am
  • Full 6-week Program $180
  • Per Class drop-in: $35

Learn proper form and basic lifting technique of free weights. Each class will focus on the following: squat, deadlift, pullup, bench press, push press and hang clean.

Join Physical Therapist Anne Reilley for this 10 week falls prevention series. Focused on improving strength, coordination and balance, this series is perfect for seniors! For more information or to sign up see the FRONT DESK at our Community Corners Location!

This program is based on a model developed and validated at the Center for Successful Aging, California State University, Fullerton.

KidFit is a program for kids ages 8-12 to learn healthy eating and exercise habits while having fun! KidFit is perfect for kids who struggle with weight management or who don’t get enough physical activity.

Strength training should have a place in everyone’s fitness regimen… particularly women! With Women On Weights, you’ll learn the proper way to incorporate strength training as well as core, balance, and flexibility exercises into your life through this circuit training style class. Join us for this 4 week series. Will I bulk up lifting weights? No, but you can potentially burn more calories than with just a cardio workout. Research has shown you can continue to burn calories for several hours after strength training.

Functional Movement Screening Test

Functional Movement Screen (FMS) was created as a means to evaluate an individual’s mobility, movement patterning, core stability and neuromuscular coordination.

FMS contains seven basic tests that identify weaknesses and asymmetries that increase the chance of injury.

FMS has been shown to reduce both the risk factors for injuries and costsassociated with injuries.
